Essentially, you can fit every door in your house with one of these high quality knobs! The levered door handles can also be ordered in any of the four variations we just mentioned, as well as either a left-hand or right-hand lever. (Be sure to confirm the handedness of your door before ordering a levered handle). The handle sets, made for exterior doors, can be ordered as single cylinder or double cylinder locks, depending on your security preferences. And the heavy duty deadbolts can also be ordered as single or double cylindered, to fit your needs.
As we mentioned above, Weslock does not skimp on style while they deliver durability and security. Each of their product lines comes in a full variety of designs and finishes. This door hardware is made to fit into any modern home and match your existing hardware. If you like a very sleek and updated appearance, then you should check out the stainless steel levered handles and matte black exterior handle sets. These pieces are sure to be quite striking in your space. But if you prefer more classic and rounded shapes that incorporate a little more color, then you need to take a look at some of their rounded knobs and deadbolts, complete with finishings like antique brass and brushed copper. No matter what your design choices are, this company can meet your needs while also guaranteeing quality and longevity!
Q: Who makes Weslock?
A: Though Weslock started out in 1932 as a family-owned business, it was sold to Tool Research Engineering in 1960 and then underwent a series of changes over the next thirty years. Today, according to the Weslock website, Weslock is a privately owned business under the name Premiere Lock Company. The company was acquired by a group of entrepreneurs in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1998, which is where the headquarters is now located.
Q: How do you unlock a Weslock?
A: The way to unlock a Weslock will often depend on the type of lock or deadbolt you have. The main difference comes down to whether you’ve purchased a single cylinder or double cylinder deadbolt; single cylinder deadbolts can be unlocked using either a key or a thumbturn, depending on which side of the door you’re on. Double cylinder deadbolts, on the other hand, require a key on both sides.
Q: What keyway does Weslock use?
A: Weslock uses a 5 Pin Weslock Keyway in all of its products. In a 5 pin lock, there are five cylinders which have to line up perfectly with the cuts in the key in order to unlock the door. The sophistication of these locks makes them harder to pick, preventing burglaries and home invasions.
