I have an older Dexter handleset. The latching mechanism still works as does the outside handle; however, the inside knob no longer works. The existing inside knob has no screws as it attaches to the inside piece which is attached to the latch with two screws. Can another inside knob or handle be purchased which uses a square rod that inserts into the latch's square hole?

Unfortunately, there are not parts available for those older sets. Dexter was purchased by schlage some time ago and they changed the mechanism to be the same as Schlage's. So the new Dexter products are not compatible with the old. Answer provided by: Hyrum (9/1/2015)

Are the handles reversible for left and right hand doors. Can you order two sets with the same key?

i need both mortise and striker plates to be square corner. Is that possible? also can you provide measurements for each so i can compare to existing hardware? thanks.

Dexter hardware is packaged with the rounded corner faceplates and strike plates only, but if you request it when you place your order we can include square corner. The faceplate measures 2-1/4" x 1", the strike is 2-1/4" x 1-3/4"

handles face down on doors opening from the left and face up on doors opening from right. Any way to get them all facing one way without screws being seen?

Looking at the Dexter Seville door set (with privacy lock). I have an older 1950's house with doors to upgrade for my son. His doors are 1 3/8" thick with a 2 3/8" set back. However the bore is just 1 1/2" . I don't see the bore size for this door. I think I could make a 1 3/4" work with a bit of easing on the bore. What is the bore size on this door handle? Thanks.
