Schlage B60 Single Cylinder Deadbolt

I bought this dead bolt to go with my Schlage lever-style handle on my front door. Since my door has a 5" backspacing, I can't just go down to a local hardware store and pick one up . Luckily, Direct Door Hardware had what I needed and they had the finish selection I needed to match my handle. Thanks!

Schlage quality is solid and is a preferred premium building component. The less expensive brands purchased from Direct Door Hardware are good values, and DDH service is fast and excellent.

This replacement door hardware looks and works good. My only complaint is that when locked, and you turn the handle to open the door, it automatically unlocks. You have to reset the lock each time you turn the handle.

The product selector helped me identify and order all of the hardware required for a 5" backset. Everything arrived at the same time, Deadbolt, Door Knob and keys matched to both items. I looked at local hardware stores and door / window stores and was not able to find the specific product I needed due to the 5" backset adapter required. I am very happy with this purchase and the speed and delivery of the order.

I am grateful that I was able to locate what we needed online. A thorough search at stores in Hawaii proved that the item was not available. I tried Lowe's because Schlage stated that they were their representative. Unfortunately, they did not have the item in stock but I thought that they could assist and order the item. They were rude. Thus, I had no choice but to search online. Your help was invaluable. I do not know about construction but needed a replacement because my door was damaged. In the past my architect handled such matters. The first time my door was repaired they used an incorrect backset and I suffered in opening the door. Nice looking dead bolt lock. Company was quick to send it. I had a question about getting locks keyed alike. I called and talked to a very nice customer service rep who answered my question. So nice to talk to an actual person. They answered the call right away and the whole phone call was less than 2 minutes!

Nice color, easy to install

We purchased the polished brass with a 5" backset option to go with an existing Schlage doorknob from the 1950's. It matches perfectly. Also, Schlage has very long screws for the strike plate that go into the framing for a super secure installation.
