Questions and Answers

Question I have a Baldwin “Elkhorn” heavy lever lock. The latch spring has worn and is unable to return the lever to parallel. I have tried a standard Baldwin latch and it wasn’t strong enough. Is this the latch to solve my problem? Thanks

Question Sounds like maybe you purchased a knob strength latch. The spring mechansim in the latch is different for a knob than it is for the lever. Baldwin makes a knob strength latch and a lever strength latch. But they don't make a heavy duty lever strength. If you lever is not returning I think it must be the knob latch you are trying to use.
