Works better than original

Why did we put up with closet doors that wouldn't close for so long? These catches are inexpensive, easy to install, and operate more smoothly than the originals.

Another Great Hard to find Item

Surprisingly inexpensive

I had been shopping in local hardware stores for ball catches and found them to be ridiculously priced at $8 to $10 apiece. I was so happy to find yours at $2.99. I thought at first that it must be a mistake and I ordered them right away before the price went up. I was surprised to find that they were correctly priced and so reasonable. Thanks

Great product

I had been having trouble with the mechanism on my brand new doors for quite some time before I decided to replace the hardware. I have been astonished at the results. The doors open smoothly and perfectly every time. A lot of these ball locks tend to loosen or tighten themselves over time but this product does not do that which is nice because you don't have to be constantly adjusting them.

how to replace loc ball catch in top of door?

Most ball catches are just friction fit into a hole in the top of the door. If you don't see any screws around the ball, then the press in type is what you have. These can be easily removed with a flat screw driver. Just pry up at the edge of the circular housing and the unit should slide right up. You can replace with a similar ball catch like the DBC10, or you can replace with a ball catch with mortise plate like the BC1 Answer provided by: Josh (1/18/2016)
