Emtek Multi Point Lock Functions

Keyed Cylinder Configuration

Keyed with American Cylinder
This function uses a thumbturn on the inside to lock or unlock the door, and requires a key for entry from the outside. This is most common for exterior patio doors that need to be locked.

Non-Keyed Passage Configuration Non-Keyed Passage
Non keyed passage functions are for patio doors that do not need to lock at all, but levers are needed for operating the latch mechanism.
Non-Keyed with Inside Thumbturn Configuration

Non-Keyed, Thumbturn Inside
This function allows you to lock the door with a thumbturn on the inside, but you cannot unlock it from the outside. Access from the outside is only possible when unlocked with thumbturn from the inside.

Non-Keyed with Fixed Outside Handle Configuration

Non-Keyed, Fixed Handle Outside
This function is often used on the side of a french door that is generally not active. The inside lever is operable from the inside so that you can unlatch the door when you want both open, but the lever is fixed from the outside preventing it from being unlocked from outside.

Dummy Configuration Dummy
This function would be used on the side of a french door where the door is not active, or does not use a multi point mechanism to keep it closed. Dummy functions are purely for cosmetic reasons and really have no function.

[productqa_] Questions and Answers

Question What is thw backset on the Emtek multi point lock ? I need something with a 2 inch backset. I would also prefer a door knob instead of a lever so please let me know any options I might have. Thanks

Question These multi point sets are trim sets only. So the backset would depend on the door manufacturer. If you have a 2" backset with standard bore holes you would need to look here:
