Are there Privacy Hospital Lock door knobs/levers for less than 100 dollars?

I recently replaced a privacy door lever set. It locks fine. But when you lock it, then close it, the push button doesnt release. So, the bathroom can be empty but locked. Is this issue because the gap between the door and the door frame is too wide and the door knob doesnt register and release the push button? Or, is there something I need to adjust inside the door lever mechanism. Let me know how to fix this
