Order Help

The Weslock Philbrook Handleset is Available in 2 Functions:

Single Cylinder Handleset
Single Cylinder handlesets are locked/unlocked with a key from the exterior and locked/unlocked from the inside of the home with a thumbturn. (most often used)

Dummy Handleset
If you have a double front door where one side is generally inactive while the other is always active, you will need a combination of two handle sets. For the active side, you'll need a single or double cylinder handleset. For the inactive door, you'll want to order a dummy handleset. This gives you the look of a complete working set, but doesn't have all of the mechanisms - perfect for an inactive door.

Double Cylinder Handleset
A double cylinder handleset has a keyed cylinder on the inside as well as the outside. This requires a key to lock or unlock the door from both sides. We don't recommend using double cylinder handlesets on main exterior doors because if there is any emergency, a key would be required to exit the home.

How to Determine Door Handingfor a Weslock Castletown Handleset

When ordering lever handles or handlesets, we'll need to know the handing of your door. Door handing is the direction in which your door swings. If you order the incorrect door handing you will either have locks on the wrong side of the door, levers that are upside down, or levers that point in the wrong direction and keep the door from closing properly.

how to determine your door handing
Follow These Steps:

step 1 Stand facing the door on the outside - If it's a locking door, stand on the side of the door where you would insert a key (or unlocking tool if it would be a privacy lock).
step 2 If the hinges are on the left, it's a left hand door. If the hinges are on the right, it's a right hand door.

Very nice handleset
The Philbrook handleset is very nice - it looks and feels substantial and functions smoothly. It was just installed yesterday so I can't speak to its longevity. The only minor negative is that on the inside of the door, there's a round cap that caps off the bottom of the handle. It's separate from the doorknob and it looks kind of funny all by itself. I've never noticed that on a door before. Maybe it's always there and I just never noticed it, but on my door, the oil rubbed bronze cap against the white door is very noticeable.

This old house
We are very pleased with the quality and appearance of our handle sets. They appear to be fabricated in a very sturdy manner. We set out to build a 100 year old new house. Finding new and old items to complement the theme was difficult. The style and finish of this set worked perfectly. They give us a good feeling of security as well due to the quality.

Beautiful, high quality!
I love this set! It's beautiful, sturdy, fairly simple to install and functions smoothly. DDH had the best price, by $100, over competitors and shipping was fast.

I received the interior portion of my lockset today and it's beautiful. didn't know it would be shipped separately "in the box" description "- Both the inside lever or knob trim and the outside handleset in the finish of your choosing.Latches - Rounded and square faceplates and strike plates. Mounting screws and other hardware. Keys So I naturally assumed the box would contain all stated, in the same box. Now I'm patiently awaiting the exterior portion which should be here soon I hope.

Questions and Answers

Question What is your interconnect lock; is it wifi controlled and will it work with alexa or google home?
Asked by: Michael - 10/11/2018
Question Interconnected locks are for emergency egress. When you turn the inside doorknob to exit, the deadbolt is automatically unlocked. This is a mechanical lock. It does not interface with any electronic device Answer provided by:  Josh (10/11/2018)
