Order Help

The Weslock Aspen Handleset is Available in 2 Functions:

Single Cylinder Handleset
Single Cylinder handlesets are locked/unlocked with a key from the exterior and locked/unlocked from the inside of the home with a thumbturn. (most often used)

Dummy Handleset
If you have a double front door where one side is generally inactive while the other is always active, you will need a combination of two handle sets. For the active side, you'll need a single or double cylinder handleset. For the inactive door, you'll want to order a dummy handleset. This gives you the look of a complete working set, but doesn't have all of the mechanisms - perfect for an inactive door.

Double Cylinder Handleset
A double cylinder handleset has a keyed cylinder on the inside as well as the outside. This requires a key to lock or unlock the door from both sides. We don't recommend using double cylinder handlesets on main exterior doors because if there is any emergency, a key would be required to exit the home.

How to Determine Door Handingfor a Weslock Castletown Handleset

When ordering lever handles or handlesets, we'll need to know the handing of your door. Door handing is the direction in which your door swings. If you order the incorrect door handing you will either have locks on the wrong side of the door, levers that are upside down, or levers that point in the wrong direction and keep the door from closing properly.

how to determine your door handing
Follow These Steps:

step 1 Stand facing the door on the outside - If it's a locking door, stand on the side of the door where you would insert a key (or unlocking tool if it would be a privacy lock).
step 2 If the hinges are on the left, it's a left hand door. If the hinges are on the right, it's a right hand door.

Mrs.
I really love the look of this hardware. I wanted and old look for my new farmhouse and this is perfect. Only complaint is that the latch is a bit sticky.

[productqa_] Questions and Answers

Question when I searched for handlesets that will work for a 2" door, the Weslock Aspen Handleset came up, but I don't see where it says it will fit a 2" door. Can you confirm that it does indeed fit a 2" door?
Asked by: Terry Leone - 1/11/2024
Question These are designed for standard 1 3/4" thick door. That said, there is some wiggle room on door thickness potentially up to 2" thick door. I probably wouldn't purchase this expecting it to be designed for a thicker door however. We currently cant get these from the manufacturer, so they aren't available to ship until possibly April 2024. I'd recommend look at Emtek brand handlesets, they are custom assembled based on your door thickness up to 3" thick. Their model that looks most like the Aspen is the Sandcast Rectangular handleset, see: https://www.directdoorhardware.com/emtek_rectangular_sectional_handleset.htm Answer provided by:  Zach (1/11/2024)
Question will this handle work on a door that is 2.25" thick?
Asked by: Pete - 6/22/2024
Question It will not fit a door that thick. Please check Emtek Handlesets for thicker doors. Answer provided by:  Jake (6/24/2024)
