Schlage 5" Backset Deadbolt Latch

Schlage's 5" backset Deadbolt latch is available in standard Schlage finishes. Only works with Schlage brand door hardware. If you are buying new deadbolts or handlesets it is less expensive to order the 5" backset option with those products rather than ordering the parts seperately. This latch is NOT compatible with Schlage electronic locks.

Question Stupid question but does this actually measure 5” in length? I ordered one from another site and when I received it it only measured 4.5” which won’t work for me.

Question This latch is 5" from the rectangular faceplate (edge of door) to the center of the slot that drives the bolt. Answer provided by:  Josh (4/4/2018)
