[productqa_] Questions and Answers

Question Is this door lever usable for exterior front door?
Asked by: Monica - 2/5/2019
Question Yes, door hardware isn't rated for "interior use" or "exterior use". Some functions are more suitable for exterior doors such as "keyed entry" meaning, you have to use a key to get in the door, that isn't common for interior doors on a home. Also, door thicknesses vary a little bit between exterior (usually 1 3/4" thick) while interior doors are most commonly 1 3/8" thick. I will note that some finishes hold up better to exterior use, such as polished brass or satin nickel, but any leverset can be used on either interior or exterior doors.
