Schlage Camelot Keyless Handleset

Schlage Keypad Handlesets are a decorative secure solution for front entry doors. The large decorative handle stands out compared to a simple knob on your front door. You don't have to mess with keys being lost or locked inside anymore, simply enter your 4 digit security code and you have full access. The outside thumbturn spins freely until deadbolt is activated, then thumbturn will extend or retract deadbolt. Keypad can be lit for night time use by the push of a button.

The Schlage Camelot Handleset is Available in 1 Function.

Single Cylinder Handleset
Single Cylinder handlesets are locked/unlocked with a key from the exterior and locked/unlocked from the inside of the home with a thumbturn (most often used). Schlage keyless or keypad locks can be unlocked after entering pre-programmed code, or you can over-ride with actual key provided with keyless lockset.

Excellent
Our contractors 17-yr old son installed this front entry lock system and it works like a charm. We never again have to worry about losing keys, leaving a key under a mat, or having to be home when we expect visitors. Question This can fit on a door up to 2-1/2". As long as your door is exactly 2-1/2" thick and not thicker then you should be good. You would just need to specify the door thickness when ordering so we get the right extension kit sent. Answer provided by:  Jake L (3/14/2016)

Question Does the Schlage keyless Camelot have an dummy/inactive handleset for a second door? I iUnderstand it would be a separate order

Question Hello,

Good question, no there is not a dummy version of that Schlage Camelot keyless handleset. There are many different options here if you are putting the keyless handleset on the active side of a double door on your home.

Option 1) don't put any hardware on the dummy door, only the keyless on the active door.
Option 2) If you already have bore holes in your dummy door, you could buy the dummy version of the normal Camelot handleset for the dummy door. See: https://www.directdoorhardware.com/Schlage_Camelot_Handleset.htm

Option 3) buy 2 of the keyless camelot handlesets and mount them on the double doors, your dummy side you just wouldn't install the latches as they would have no function. The hardware itself will mount up and match the active side, if that is how you want to do it.

Question Is this Schlage Keyless Camelot Handleset available with a 5 inch backset?

Question I'm sorry, it is not offered that way by the manufacturer. Only certain passage, privacy and handlesets by Schlage and Kwikset offer the 5" backset latch. There are no keyless locksets available with the 5" latch as the internal mechanisms differ. Answer provided by:  Zach (5/27/2020)
