What are privacy locks? width=A privacy function is used to secure the interior rooms of a home or you can see them on any kind of building really. Each is locked by either a thumb turn or a pushbutton on the inside of the door. The exterior will have a hole to insert an emergency key or I like to use a bobby pin. Usually the emergency key comes included to unlock from the outside of the door. These privacy styles are most commonly found on bathroom doors and bedroom doors.
