 Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question so I will give a lengthy response and hope I answer your question. The deadbolt you are looking at would normally be on an exterior door. It could be mounted on an interior door and used as a privacy lock, you would just need a key to gain entry to the room. Another option would be to get a victorian styled doorknob set that could have a privacy function (courtesy lock with emergency entry feature).
