Nostalgic Warehouse warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is extended to the original user of Nostalgic Warehouse products as long as the User occupies the residential premises on which the Products were originally installed. Nostalgic Warehouse door hardware is assembled custom to fill your order. As a result there is a 25% restock fee assessed on all orders because the items have to be disassembled upon return. Nostalgic Warehouse Returns must be made within 30 days of the original purchase. Please contact us before return.

The product is great. However, I did select the chrome finish in the pull down menu when ordering and my order states that it is the chrome finish. I actually received the brass finish. It wasn't worth sending it back and waiting so we just switched out one of the other door knobs and put this one on the basement door so it wasn't so noticeable. Your website did say to call to order the chrome finish but then you had the option to select it in the pulldown menu. If indeed you do need to call to order the chrome option, then it should not be available to select in the pulldown menu. This should be fixed. Otherwise very happy with the product. Thanks!

I had several issues which lead me to return the two latches. The latch opening was not bidirectional. The biggest issue was the weal latch spring when I required a heavier duty latch spring to support a lever. The description didn’t reference the limitation. The 25% restocking fee was a surprise but I returned both latches.

This latch was advertised as a GRA latch which was what I was replacing. The spring is quite weak and is only appropriate for round door handles. Unfortunately my handles are Omnia levers and the spring in this item could not return the lever to the horizontal position. For round handles this item is fine, but not for levers.

What is dimension of opening for spindle?

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to that question. You could try contacting the manufacturer, or just buy 1 and see if it will work for you. This latch is for use with Nostalgic Warehouse brand hardware. Buying it in hopes that it works for whatever hardware you have, is a guessing game.

I am looking for a door latch to replace a broken one. My current latch has a 1/2 inch in height and 15/16 inch width. The hole fits a rectangular bar through to the door knob. This one looks like it may work as a replacement, but need to make sure the width and height, to ensure the opening is big enough for the existing rectangular bar.

This latch is designed for use with Nostalgic warehouse door hardware. I don't have any specific details on the shape or dimensions of the latch body. The recommended and standard size bore hole for installation on the edge of your door would be 1" round.
