Lifetime Weathered Rust Kickplate

Lifetime Weathered Rust Kick Plates are available in 6" x 8" heights and several widths. You can also choose from screw mount, magnetic mount and adhesive mount. Please double check the width you order to make sure you get the right kick plate. Generally you will want to order a kickplate that is 2" shorter than your door width so that it doesn't get in the way of your door trim and weatherstripping. So if you have a 36" door for example, you'll want to order a 34" wide kickplate. Many kickplates are custom made to order in the finish you need. Some standard sizes are in stock, but please allow 2-3 weeks before shipment.

3 Kickplate Mounting Types
Screw Mount: Evenly spaces screws along top and bottom of the kickplate.
28, 30 & 32 Inch Wide - 5 Screws Top 5 Screws bottom.
34 & 40 Inch Wide - 6 Screws Top and 6 Screws Bottom.

Magnetic Mount: Continuous magnetic sheet across the back of kick plate (only works on steel doors).
Adhesive Mount: All weather adhesive strip top and bottom of the kickplate (can be attached to any door type).

Hotel or Commercial Kickplates

NOTE:

Your kickplate will arrive with adhesive covering the front surface to protect the finish. Please remove the protective film to see finish. We recommend removing the film after installation to protect the kickplate while installing.

LIMITED WARRANTY: BRASS Accents, Inc. warrants for a period of one (1) year that our products will be free from defects in workmanship and materials. At our option, we will repair or replace free of charge any product found to be defective and subject to this warranty, provided it is delivered prepaid to us. This warranty does not apply to any defects or malfunctions resulting from improper installation or use. BRASS Accents, Inc. shall not be liable for any consequential damages. Please note: The limited warranty on all locks or latches is void if consumer uses them on knobs, levers, or trim other than original supplied by BRASS Accents, Inc. or the manufacturer. wheelchair protection

I use a wheelchair and my chair was scratching our bathroom door . We have a rustic decor in our home so this was perfect . If I need more doors protected I will definitely buy this weathered look . So far its working out great .

If I order a kick plate with the adhesive strips does the plate still have holes for the screws? Also, will it adhere to wood?

If you order the adhesive mount kickplate it will not have screw holes in it. Adhesive mount will work on a wood door, but how well the adhesive sticks will be greatly affected by the condition of the door and its finish. We always recommend screw mount as the best option for exterior doors. Answer provided by: Josh (4/29/2015)

All questions apply to your "Lifetime Weathered Rust Kickplate": 1) What's the most economical method to buy a 34.5" (x 8") plate? Your price to size it to that vs. buy a 36" plate and cut it down myself (with what tool?)? 2) What does your use of "Lifetime Weathered" mean such that you only use it for this color? 3) What's the base metal material and thickness for this (it's not listed)? 4) Describe how the rust color is applied to or embedded in the base metal, and whether it's impervious to or just resistant to chipping. 5) That's all I can think of for now, more later perhaps! lol Whit (retired engineer)

1) It would cost around $20 more to get the custom cut kickplate. You could order an 8" x 40" and cut it down to size with shears but the benefit of having it cut in the warehouse is that they will coat the edges after it has been cut.

2) The base material is a 0.050" stainless steel

3) It is a powder coated finish baked on to the kickplate. It will hold up well to the elements but there's no guarantee against animal scratches or similar things. Answer provided by: Jake L (4/11/2016)

Is this brilliant brass finish? Are there 6 screw holes? Measurement between each?

This particular product you have asked a question about is a weathered Rust finish. If you need bright brass you would want the polished brass PVD (lifetime) finish, or polished brass on aluminum kickplates. Answer provided by: Jake (8/8/2023)
