Question I understand there is no lock on this set so how does it function? Does it still function as a latch and it does how is it engaged and released?

Question No, passage function doesn't even have a latch on a pocket door to connect with the jamb. Basically, its hardware to fill the hole, if there is one already drilled in the door. The hardware also gives you a small edge pull in the end of the door to pull it out of the pocket and a flush pull on either side of the door to use to slide the door. If you want a set to latch, the privacy set would do that but would be designed as a courtesy lock to keep someone from walking in when in use. Answer provided by:  Zach (12/1/2023)
