Kwikset Arlington Handleset

The reason I chose the Kwikset Arlington Handleset was it was the only one I could find that had the center to center holes that would match the existing; I didn't want to fill any hole I just wanted a direct replacement. Positive: 1. Installation was simple. 2. Versatility in sizes and fitment. 3. The satin nickel looked great. 4. Shell appears to be solid; it's weighty. Negatives: 1. Inferior mechanism and parts. 2. Screw to secure bottom portion of handle is exposed on the exterior side; Kwikset could've added a cover or something. It makes the product look considerably cheaper than the nearly two-hundred dollar price tag I paid for it. 3. Price point does not match it's inferior quality; it's too expensive for what you get. 4. Integrity of Direct Door Handle is questionable to me. After ordering the item, I found it at a cheaper price elsewhere. I tried to cancel the day after I ordered and the service rep on the phone claimed by sheer coincidence they "just sent it out" as I was talking to him. So, I contacted Direct Door Hardware's customer service as directed on their site regarding price-matching and left a message, no one ever contacted me. This little interaction by itself makes Direct Door Hardware my last place to look at the next time I look for door hardware. In fact, I had to replace 7 more front door handles and a dozen interior door handles including some closet ones...I never even looked at Direct Door Hardware for any of those purchases just from this one interaction. And hence the 2-star. It's a Kwikset so it was what I expected it to be, i.e., the low-end of mid-range product, but typically "good enough" for most applications; it's easily a 4-star based on that expectation alone, but the interaction with Direct Door Hardware (which to me the experience is all part of the quality of the product) as well as the expensive price point versus spending a few more Hamilton's for a nicer and more robust Emtek, makes this a 2-star experience.

Product arrived in perfect condition exactly when we were told it would. It was easy to install and looks great!

This handleset really made my double door entry grand. I purchased the polished brass set with a Lido style lever. It looks extraordinary and gives a prestigious touch inside and out! Shannon was so wonderful to work with and was always prompt, friendly and thorough in our correspondence. This is indeed the best door hardware company. They also are incredibly helpful when you call the main line. I give my highest rating!! Thank you!

I needed a door handle made that fit my exterior door handle center to center measurements. I could not find one at any of the big box hardware stores. DirectDoor hardware had the handle measurements I needed and the quality and service I received was great. Highly recommend them.

Lock quality is Great. Only issue I had installing the lock set was the info on your lock showed 5-1/2 inches from center of dead blot to center of door knob , my door was on .a 5” spacing. I had to construe cut a notch out of the deadbolt bezel to make work. It still looks fine, and works Great.

Quality you would expect from Kwikset. Pretty easy install.
