Can I special order a square deadbolt that has no cylinder trim on the outside? It is typically called a patio deadbolt. It consists of the inside plate and thumbturn, a tailpiece , and the deadbolt latch. LD series square plate in polished stainless steel and for a 2 1/4" thick door.

Sounds like what you need is a single sided deadbolt. This style is not available as a single sided. You might check this one out:

is this compatible with august smart lock?

According to your options this can be ordered for 3" thick doors but on description it says it fits up to 1 3/4" , just want to make sure it does fit a 3" door
