Question What size holes are required to install this knob? Are instructions available? I have a 2 3/8" setback with a 1 7/8" DIA. hole for the knob and a 1" strike hole.

Question This requires a 2 1/8" bore hole and 1" cross bore for the strike. However your door can be adapted to work with this knob and several other brands. See the following link on how to install modern door knobs on smaller bore holes.

Question I have 1967 home with hole diameters of 1 7/8". Mostly Dexter locks currently. Are the smaller knobs available?

Question No one makes door hardware for smaller bore holes. 2 1/8" is standard. That said, there are some manufacturers locksets that do happen to fit with possible minor modification. We have an article about it on our website. Here is the link:

Question What is the diameter of the knob base? Meaning the part of the knob that meets the door. I am looking for a 2" diameter knob base that seats into a brass door plate.
