Description

Brass Accents 3" x 10" Mail Slot Spring Flap Exterior/Gravity Flap Interior

Overall Size: 3" x 10"
Required Hole Size: 2-3/8" x 8-3/8"

These mail slots are made from solid brass material and available in 2 popular sizes. Both interior & exterior sides of the mail slots have flaps. The exterior flap is spring-loaded and the interior features a gravity flap. We also offer the mail slot with the spring-loaded flap for the exterior and a frame only for the interior side. (A07-M0070)

There is a choice of many different finishes, including PVD “Lifetime” brass. Installation hardware in matching finish is included with the mail slots. An optional Stainless Steel Sleeve is also available to purchase for the inside of the door. Installation is quick and easy to enhance the overall appearance of any entryway. The Condo owners love this mailbox with the double slot. They especially like the fact that the top slot closes automatically and will not just stay in the open position as well as have the back plate that uses gravity to stay close. It provides some security since the mail slots are in the doors and not a separate box.

Beautiful addition
The mail slot looks great. More importantly, the inside and outside flaps significantly reduce drafts through the slot. Installation was a bit tricky - I think the old sleeve might have been a 1/8" too narrow. Had to file out a notch to allow room for the end of the pivot - 5 minute job, no big. Very happy.

Question Is the Brass Accents 3X10 inch mail slot in Venerian Bronze a very dark brown (almost black) with warm copper tones that break through? I am trying to match the Schlage Aged Bronze colour of the rest of my front door hardware. Thank you.

Question It is as you have described though I couldn't guarantee it's a erfect match to the Schlage Aged Bronze. Every manufacturer's finish is a little different so I would expect it to be slightly different from the Schlage product. Answer provided by:  Jake (9/6/2022)
