Emtek Baden Handleset is Available in the Following Functions

Single Cylinder Handleset
Emtek single cylinder handlesets are locked/unlocked with a key from the exterior and locked/unlocked from the inside of the home with a thumbturn. Single cylinder handleset are by far the most popular function of handle set.

Double Cylinder Handleset
Emtek double cylinder handlesets have a keyed lock on both sides of the handleset. This means that to exit or enter the door you must have a key to unlock the door. Some people use double cylinder handlesets on glass doors where they are concerned that someone may be able to break the glass and unlock the door from the inside. The disadvantage of using a double cylinder handleset is that in the event of an emergency you would have to locate the key to unlock the door and get out of the building. For this reason we recommend the single cylinder handleset for most applications.

Dummy Handleset
If you have a double front door where one side is generally inactive while the other is always active, you will need a combination of two handle sets. For the active side, you'll need a single or double cylinder handleset. For the inactive door, you'll want to order a dummy handleset. This gives you the look of a complete working set, but doesn't have all of the mechanisms - perfect for an inactive door.

Add On: Emtek Interconnect device
Emtek offers an interconnect device as an available option for their active handlesets. The interconnect device connects the interior lever or knob with the deadbolt on an emtek handleset. When you turn the knob or lever the interconnect device retracts the deadbolt simultaneously to unlock the door. This is just an added convenience that is available, but not required.

Love these handles!
I love these handles! We ordered 4 sets (one is a dummy for our French doors). They all look so classy, clean and modern. It took me awhile to decide which style and brand and I'm so happy I went with these. The quality is great. Very substantial. My husband installs doors for a living and he said these are one of the best handles he has installed. Having the same key for all doors is a plus as well.

Amazing!
I saw this online and loved the look. When our finishing carpenter installed it it was easy to install and 8 months later it still looks brand new. It's very modern and robust. I would buy this again and recommend it to anyone.

Questions and Answers

Question Hi - I am interested in the Emtek Baden Entrance Handleset. I just want to make sure that both the inside and outside are square plates for the deadbolt key and turn knob. Also, it says you can choose the lever. I would like the Stuttgart lever which I can choose as an option. Will that automatically be on a square rosette? It also list different types of inside turn knobs. What does this entry set come with and am I able to select a different turn knob if I want also on a square rosette? Thanks.
Asked by: Marie Patterson - 8/7/2015
Question Marie,

The baden would come as shown in the image, with the exception of the lever style and finish that you choose. So yes, if you choose the Stuggart lever, it would be on the square rosette and would have the square deadbolt trim above. There are no different deadbolt thumbturn pieces. However, you could do any interior handleset trim made by Emtek on the interior if you wish. Answer provided by:  Jake (8/10/2015)
