Emtek Hardware has recently made a change to their Dark Bronze finish. This finish was sometimes confused with medium bronze but now there is a clear distinction. The Emtek dark bronze finish is now called deep burgundy. This finish has a rich burgundy color beneath the darker antiqued finish so the burgundy color becomes more prevalent over time. Medium bronze is closer to the popular oil rubbed finish that you find with other hardware styles. As always these sandcast finishes are living finishes and meant to wear and change in appearance over time.
