Sure-Loc Door Knob Construction
Sure-Loc doorknobs are made of all metal zinc die cast or solid-forged brass components. Sure-Loc Contemporary Series knobs are packaged with an adjustable backset latch with both drive in and rounded corner faceplate options. Elegance and Rustic Series Knobs include non-adjustable backset latch with rounded corner faceplate. Full strike plates are standard on all Sure-Loc entrance, privacy, passage and deadbolts.
About Sure-Loc Door Knob Functions
Sure-Loc doorknobs are available in four different functions which are: keyed entrance, privacy knob, passage knob, and dummy trim.
Keyed Entry
Sure-Loc Keyed entry doorknobs have a turn button on the interior to lock and unlock the door. When leaving your home, you can just turn the button on the interior and the door will lock behind you. Unlock from the outside using a key. The knobset is only locked when the turn button is in the locked position. Sure-Loc keyed entry knobs use a Kwikset standard KW1 keyway. Schlage SC1 and Weiser profile keyway are available upon request. You can have your Sure-Lock knobs keyed alike. Construction key and master key services are also available.
Privacy Knobsets
Sure-Loc privacy locksets work just like the keyed entry knobsets, but you do not need a key to unlock from the outside. There is no key cylinder, but there is a pinhole through which you can unlock the door using the generic tool provided. Privacy locks are generally used on bedroom or bathroom doors. Elegance and Rustic Series knobs have push pin lock in the rosette.
Passage Knobsets
Sure-Loc passage doorknobs are non- locking. These are great for hall doors or closet doors that do not need to lock, but a latching mechanism is still required.
Single Dummy
Sure-Loc dummy knobsets are sold individually as a single dummy. These are non-functioning knobs that are mounted to the surface of the door. These are used on doors that do not need a latch mechanism like the inactive side of a french door for example.
