Emtek Remington Grip by Grip Handleset is Available in the Following Functions

Single Cylinder Handleset
Emtek single cylinder handlesets are locked/unlocked with a key from the exterior and locked/unlocked from the inside of the home with a thumbturn. Single cylinder handleset are by far the most popular function of handle set.

Double Cylinder Handleset
Emtek double cylinder handlesets have a keyed lock on both sides of the handleset. This means that to exit or enter the door you must have a key to unlock the door. Some people use double cylinder handlesets on glass doors where they are concerned that someone may be able to break the glass and unlock the door from the inside. The disadvantage of using a double cylinder handleset is that in the event of an emergency you would have to locate the key to unlock the door and get out of the building. For this reason we recommend the single cylinder handleset for most applications.

Dummy Handleset
If you have a double front door where one side is generally inactive while the other is always active, you will need a combination of two handle sets. For the active side, you'll need a single or double cylinder handleset. For the inactive door, you'll want to order a dummy handleset. This gives you the look of a complete working set, but doesn't have all of the mechanisms - perfect for an inactive door.

Add On: Emtek Interconnect device
Emtek offers an interconnect device as an available option for their active handlesets. The interconnect device connects the interior lever or knob with the deadbolt on an emtek handleset. When you turn the knob or lever the interconnect device retracts the deadbolt simultaneously to unlock the door. This is just an added convenience that is available, but not required.

Questions and Answers

Question What does the inside handles look like. When measuring the deadbolt lock hole and the latch hole, is it measured top of the dead bolt hole to bottom f the latch hole or distance from center of the deadbolt hole to center of the latch hole?
Asked by: Renee - 1/26/2023
Question Hi there, by definition, a grip by grip handleset has the grip handle on both sides of the door just as you see in the picture for the product. The measurement between the holes is Center to Center. (5 1/2" center to center) Answer provided by:  Zach (1/26/2023)
Question Why is the dummy set the same price as the single cylinder if it doesn't have all the mechanisms that the single cylinder has?' Also, do you offer the F-20 Function on this handle set?
Asked by: MARIETTA CALAS - 9/3/2023
Question Marietta,

They don't have latches but they have decorative plugs where cylinders would go and some other parts. That is how the manufacturer prices it so it is what it is I guess. This one is a tubular latch handleset, so it is not available in the F20 mortise lock function. Answer provided by:  Jake (9/5/2023)
